Shell-Mix® is manufactured from selected limestone and is screened to meet defined sizing criteria primarily for the poultry industry.

Shell-Mix® is commonly used as an alternative to crushed shell for poultry and is also suitable for other applications where high calcium and consistent product sizing is required.

Shell-Mix® is dedusted below 850um and is available in bulk, 1000kg+ sacks and 25kg paper bags.

Shell-Mix® products are tested regularly to ensure they meet Graymont specifications.

Availability

Shell-Mix® is available from our Havelock plant in Nova Scotia, Canada and is broadly distributed to various other locations. Please contact our sales team to discuss application guidelines and dosage rates.

Did you know?

There are three distinct types of limestone, defined by their magnesium carbonate (MgCO3) concentrations. These types are Dolomitic (35 to 46% MgCO3), Magnesian (5 to 35% MgCO3) and High calcium (less than 5% MgCO3).
